An ancient legend reborn
A re-imagining of the old mystical folklore that follows a woman and a tight-knit Jewish community that is besieged by foreign invaders. She conjures a dangerous creature to protect them but it may be more evil than she ever imagined.

61/100 A slow but extremely compelling film taking place in the mid 17th century in a small Jewish village. A woman who, by sacred law is not allowed spiritual study, takes it upon herself to create a Golem to protect her village. Chaos ensues.
