***Iconic Medieval adventure of the early 90s*** Released in 1991, "Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves" stars Kevin Costner in the title role. I've always been a fan of the baddie in films - and this film really belongs to Alan Rickman's "Sheriff" with a good supporting effort from Geraldine McEwan as his harridan witch cohort. Good production design but not a terribly entertaining adventure film. Kevin Costner's lack of accent was distracting and I didn't feel he and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio had great chemistry either. The only plus I will say Alan Rickman was wonderfully over-the-top as Sheriff of Nottingham which also leads to a weird tone throughout. **2.75/5**
