It's 1946, and peace has dealt Peggy Carter a serious blow as she finds herself marginalized when the men return home from fighting abroad. Working for the covert SSR (Strategic Scientific Reserve), Peggy must balance doing administrative work and going on secret missions for Howard Stark all while trying to navigate life as a single woman in America, in the wake of losing the love of her life - Steve Rogers.

When the downright bad follows on from the very good The first season of Agent Carter is really very good. The series has an eye for detail, good lead actors and a pretty good script. The sets, camerawork and many other elements all contribute to a very aesthetic and credible rendering of the post-war United States (post WW2). The actress is, in her own way, a superhero, beautiful, strong... and intelligent, no less.…
